Living and working in Quito
During my stay in Ecuador, about half of my time I spend in Quito. Quito is a beautifull town in the Andes on an altitude of 2800 meters. I live in an appartement in the new part of Quito and I work in the office of Ecotrackers, which is situated in the new part as well, on the Avenida Amazonas.
Ecotrackers is situated on the corner of Avenida Amazonas and Roca. Here you can find a lot of information and pictures of other volunteers who have worked with Ecotrackers in different communities throughout Ecuador.
The Central University
In collaboration with the Central University, with the Faculties of Biology and Historical Culture, in Quito we set up a series of seminars about ecotourism in the different regions of Ecuador: the Coast, the Andes, the Amazon and the Galapagos islands.
Furthermore I will attend some classes at the Central University, at the Faculties of Biology and Historical Culture.
Spanish Classes
To improve my Spanish I attend some spanish classes with Ecotrackers: 2 hours of grammatics and 2 hours of conversation per day.
